Driving Directions - map

  • From Interstate 5:
    • Take the Highway 2 exit to Snohomish/Wenatchee (Exit 194).
    • Proceed East over the bridge, bear right following HWY 2.
    • Take the first exit marked Snohomish, Bickford Ave (which turns into Avenue D)
    • Proceed south on Bickford Ave (also Ave D through town)
    • Turn left onto 3rd Street (no light at intersection) Proceed 2 blocks.
    • Chapel is on the right hand corner of 3rd St and Avenue B
  • From Interstate 405:
    • Take Highway 522 (Exit #23) to Monroe/Wenatchee
    • Proceed east pm HWY 522 for 2.5 miles
    • Take the HWY 9 Exit marked Snohomish
    • Turn left (North) at the light and follow HWY 9 for 10 miles
    • Take the Snohomish Exit just after the Snohomish River Bridge
    • Turn right at the stop sign onto 2nd Street
    • Go through the light at Avenue D, travel two blocks
    • Turn left onto Avenue B
    • Chapel is on the right, corner of 3rd St and Avenue B

Belle Chapel History
1885 Belle Chapel

This historic charming building sanctuary was constructed built in 1885 and is registered listed as Snohomish's the original United Methodist Church on the National Register of Historic Places. It was Ooriginally constructed constructed on the corner of 3rd Street and Avenue C, it was moved .

Around 1910, the church was moved to its current location at 3rd Street and Avenue B in about 1910. The building was later raised to construct add a fellowship hall and kitchen on the garden level and a pastor's study and church office was added on the sanctuary level.

The United Methodist Church held worship services in this building until 1992, when it was sold to finance finish the current much larger church building located north of Blackman's Lake in Snohomish.
